MY-ECLASS LEARNING PLATFORM
MY-ECLASS Digital Education Zimbabwe is a dynamic, secure, and flexible educational technology project that provides digital learning resources and activities for Primary and Secondary learners. The platform supports both synchronous and asynchronous learning across all levels.
The project was launched in June 2015 by teachers from Selborne Routledge School (Warren Park–Mabelreign District, Harare Province) and is now owned by nine educators based in Harare. In September 2020, it was officially recognised as a partner of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.
Security
the platform will provide URL to specific educational sites permissible to the ministry and content specific to particular course level.
Ubuntu
All content to be in conformity with the updated curriculum and speaking to the values of Zimbabwean Ubuntu/ hunhu with respect to culture, tradition, religion, and gender balance..
Integrity
Content shall be subject to scrutiny by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Materials Product officers to ensure compliance to set standards. .
Quality
The brains and workforce behind the project are seasoned teachers in syllabus interpretation with some taking part in curriculum development activities at different levels. Also the project team has been working with CDTS co-opting the recommendations given to ensure conformity to expected stands. Last but not least, a team of advisers from Education colleges principals to University professors are giving direction to the project.
Inclusivity
All the fourteen indigenous languages shall be carted for as demonstrated by the Tonga, Ndebele and Shona languages already incorporated. Also working closely with the CDTS and other relevant stakeholders, learners with different impairments will be carted for.
